if you want to get it faster you will need to play with the windows indexing service which is a totally different piece of work and many pc's dont' even have it enabled. mine included.

restarting just the vmware authorization service is sufficient and the only needed one. After restarting that service, and starting the vmware client, the virtual machine that was resumed and caused the error will show up running and will be interactive, as if nothing happened. so there won't be a need to suspend and resume it again as I said initially.

so that's solved

- fixed banuser function in aa_mod_common
- updated ban_carman and ban_cimpoaca SP scripts to reflect above change

major rewrite of all scripts (except EE, which I will retire soon).

I finally made the move from CVS to SVN (code versioning systems).
Mainly because I improved my USJ (User JavaScript) coding and I decided to verison everything so I'd hav ethe old code as well adn I just didn't remember hot to make a new repository with CVS and I wanted to move to SVN anyhow

this time I only restarted the vmware mount manager service and then the vmware authorization service. my hunch is that only the latter one is sufficient to be restarted for the fix to kick in, so I'll test that next time.

I am not executing any compiled binaries on my PC that come sfrom untrusted sources. dont' take this personally, but you're not exactly a trusted source

the parameter pszFileName does not contain the path, only the filename?

also you have a bug. in
function TInfoTip.GetCurFile(out pszFileName: POleStr): HResult; export;
you need to change the parameters amongs them. it must be
WideCharToStrVar(finfo, pszFileName);

First of all, I don't particularly like the "zombie" attribute.
Second, the idea of this forum from the begining was for user feedback on various topics and for me to be able to publish information fast (currently, the rest of the site is rather static html). There are already quite a few delphi related sites and some delphi-dedicated sites, so there really isn't the need to make yet another one.
And last, there will be changes to the structure of the site, but not in the following few months since I really need to make money, before investing time in something that only consumes money
Basically, changes to the structure of the site are ratehr low on the list of me priorities

I confirm, starting vmware agent service is not required. next time I'll try to see the minimum services that need ot be restarted for the fix to kick in.

can you post a link to that? AFAIK, I never released such a code, only to show the status of the adapter.
